Hitting the track for its first time, the chassis is brand-new to ThorSport Racing’s stable.
  • Iowa by the Numbers…Making his third start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) this weekend at Iowa, Rhodes qualified for the 2016 and 2017 events with a top-10 starting position, critical at a track that sees an average race-winner starting position of 3.818. Finishing fourth and 14th in his two starts in the Hawkeye State, Rhodes still looks for his first win of the season, and his first victory at the track, this weekend.
  • Crew Chief Corner… Also making his third start in the NCWTS this weekend at Iowa, Rhodes’s crew chief Eddie Troconis looks for his first win calling a race atop the pit box in the Hawkeye State. Making two starts at Iowa previously, one with Cameron Hayley (2016) and with Rhodes (2017), Troconis has one top-five and one top-10 finish to his record, along with an average finish of 8.5 at Iowa.
  • Catch Rhodes in Iowa…Rhodes will join fellow ThorSport Racing teammates, and other NCWTS drivers, for a series autograph session, Saturday, June 16, 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. CT, located under the Turn 4 grandstands at Iowa Speedway.

Chatting with Ben Rhodes…

“Qualifying hasn’t necessarily been our strong suit this year, even though we had a pole [at Martinsville], but every time the green flag drops, we march right to the front. I’m not too concerned with where we qualify at Iowa, like I would be at a track like Texas or Kentucky, but I am concerned with the finish. I know that we will have an extremely fast Ford F-150. Every single time we go to Iowa, it’s been a successful track for me in the past. It’s a track I look forward to each season, and I think Iowa is going to give us one of our best chances to win throughout the year.”
