Making its 11th start for ThorSport Racing, the chassis made its track debut in 2015 dressed as the No. 88 with Matt Crafton behind the wheel. Leading 32 laps over its career thus far, the truck has one win (Kansas Speedway with Matt Crafton – 2015), four top-five finishes (Texas Motor Speedway – 2017, Atlanta Motor Speedway – 2016, Pocono Raceway – 2016, Michigan International Speedway – 2016), and one top-10 finish (Michigan International Speedway – 2015) to its name.
  • Home Sweet Home-track…Hailing from nearby Louisville, Kentucky, Rhodes looks to return home to the “Bluegrass State” this weekend, competing in front of his home crowd. With many family members and friends cheering him on from the stands, Rhodes looks to build on the recent second-place finish and momentum he achieved at Chicagoland Speedway.
  • Built Ford Tough… Ahead of the race at Kentucky Thursday evening, Rhodes and his ThorSport Racing teammates will visit with employees at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, Wednesday, July 11. Touring and meeting with Ford employees, the drivers will receive a behind-the-scenes look at Ford’s production of their F-250, F-550, Super Duty pickups, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles.
  • Catch Rhodes at Kentucky… Rhodes will appear at the Ford Display Stage for a Q&A session, along with a fan meet and greet, Thursday, July 12, from 4 to 4:30 p.m. ET, in the midway at Kentucky Speedway. Additionally, Rhodes will have several appearances throughout the NASCAR event weekend in Kentucky. Stay tuned to ThorSport Racing and Rhodes’s social media channels for additional information.

Chatting with Ben Rhodes…

“When I compete here at home in the Bluegrass State, I look forward to combining the best of both worlds, the most. I get to sleep in my own bed and eat breakfast at the house – be with my family – and then get to race and do battle at night with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Kentucky Speedway. For me, this is the only time in the season I get to combine those – this is where my two worlds get to come together, my friends, family, classmates, people in my community, fans – everybody that is in my world out of Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding regions gets to come out to the race and experience what I get to do on a week-to-week basis. I think that’s pretty cool, but because of this, the week leading up to Kentucky is one of the busiest weeks of the year for me. There is a ton of media and events that we’re doing, but it’s okay, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s what allows me to get out into the community and meet people, creating memories. It’s all super exciting for me, and it means the world to have family, friends and supporters out at the track. It’s a way for me to experience something that I don’t get to at other tracks. The amount of support there from everyone is unreal, and it really means a lot to have that.”
