Prior to this weekend’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event at Iowa Speedway, Jeb Burton toured POET Biorefining plant in Coon Rapids, Iowa. Burton, driver of the No. 13 Estes Toyota Tundra, visited the plant to learn more about the E15 Ethanol that powers his Toyota Tundra. From the field, to the plant, to the Sunoco tanks at every NASCAR track, Sunoco Green E15 has been powering the NCWTS since 2011. Sunoco Green E15 is not only better for Burton’s 650 horsepower engine, it’s better for the environment and supports the local economy. Burton, who is scheduled to make his third start at the 7/8-mile asphalt tri-oval, hopes the highly-oxygenated, unleaded race fuel made from the cornfields of the Midwest will power him to victory lane in Friday night’s American Ethanol 200 presented by Enogen.
Sounding off – Jeb Burton:
On Iowa Speedway…
“Iowa is another standalone event for our series and it’s a good opportunity for us to rebound after a couple of bad finishes. In the past, Iowa hasn’t been a strong track for me, but I do enjoy coming out here. It’s a cool track and the fans always fill the grandstands. Iowa has the characteristics of a short track with the speeds of a speedway; it’s wide, with two grooves and you can run side-by-side, which always makes for great racing.”
On American Ethanol…
“As drivers, we are proud to use Sunoco Green E15 because it’s not only better for our engines, but it’s better for the environment and supports jobs right here in the state of Iowa. The ethanol industry has an important role to play in supporting our local economies. What folks are doing right here in Coon Rapids will help end our nation’s dependence on foreign oil.”
