Jeb Burton will make his 40th career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway (BMS) in Wednesday night’s UNOH 200. Burton and the Estes Express team head to BMS with momentum on their side after posting two top-10 finishes in the last three races this season. With one career start under his belt at “The World’s Fastest Half Mile,” Burton and his ThorSport Racing team look to parlay their performance from an eighth-place finish at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn a week ago to BMS and continue their climb in the NCWTS point standings.

Short tracks have been the site of some of Burton’s career best NCWTS performances. He scored his first career NCWTS Keystone Light Pole award at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway in April, 2013, and led a race-high 154 laps, the most laps the Halifax, Va. native has led in a single event. Burton validated his short track prowess by posting three top-10 finishes at short tracks last season; Martinsville in April (3rd), Iowa Speedway in Newton (8th), and Martinsville in October (3rd). In 2014, one of Burton’s most impressive efforts came on the most recent short track event on the dirt at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, where he started a season-best second and finished seventh. Burton currently sits 10th in the NCWTS driver point standings and has scored four top-10 finishes this season, including two in the last three races.

Sounding Off – Jeb Burton:
“There’s not another track in the country like Bristol. Things happen so quickly, so it’s important to always be on your toes, stay out of trouble, and keep the fenders on the truck. Ever since they resurfaced the track, we can race side by side and move around to make the truck drive better and find speed. I feel like we’re starting to have the performances this Estes Express team is capable of, especially after how fast we were at Michigan. Hopefully we can carry that speed and momentum to Bristol and keep knocking on the door of a top-five finish.”
