BEN RHODES AND TEAM SHOW STRONG EFFORT DESPITE BAD LUCK AT GATEWAY
“Teamwork was the name of the game this weekend at Gateway Motorsports Park. We’re really fortunate to have everyone from ThorSport [Racing] come together and make sure that we had a backup to get on the racetrack – a backup that could compete for a top-five. We battled back through the field multiple times. Just bad luck all weekend long plagued us – a tire went down in practice, and wrecked a truck. We have to go to the backup. Then, when we got the backup together, a tire went down before we even took the green, which put us a lap down. Our pit crew did an amazing job all night long making sure that we gained spots on pit road, and taking care of the pit stops to put us back on the lead lap. I’m really happy with everybody’s effort. At the end of the night, we battled through.”
