Chatting with Ben Rhodes…

“I’m really excited to run ISM Raceway this weekend. With the new start/finish line, I feel like you’ll see a brand-new race on the restarts, and to me, that’s going to be exciting. Turns 1 & 2 really fit my driving style. I love how flat it is, how much room there is. You can really move around and challenge other trucks, and I will be taking my Carolina Nut Co. Ford F-150 to the bottom, making some crazy passes on the restarts. It is a tough place to pass at, but with the new start/finish line, I feel like it’s going to put an a very entertaining show for the fans.”

News and Notes

Chassis Chatter… The No. 41 Carolina Nut Co. Ford F-150 team this week brings Chassis No. 37 to ISM Raceway near Phoenix. The same chassis that Rhodes earned his first career NCWTS victory in at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in September 2017, it was last raced at Dover International Speedway earlier this season where it started and finished the race eighth. Nicknamed “Marshmallow,” the truck is one that was saved from the team’s June 2016 fire, and given the namesake after its “toasted” appearance. Overall, the chassis has one win, four top-five and six top-10 finishes, in addition to 133 laps led, in 13 starts.
