“Greatness fuels greatness, and the 2022 PBR Teams Champion Nashville Stampede couldn’t be more fired up to partner with ThorSport Racing as Ben Rhodes takes on Nashville Superspeedway in the No. 99 Ford F-150,” said Stampede General Manager Tina Battock. “Our fans live for grit, adrenaline, and heart — the same qualities that make NASCAR electric. We’re cheering for Ben and ThorSport as they chase down another championship!”
Nashville Stampede competes in the groundbreaking PBR Teams league, which transforms bull riding from an individual sport into one where riders compete on teams. During the league’s inaugural season in 2022, the Stampede made a Cinderella run at the 2022 PBR Teams Championship, rising from No. 8 to win the year-end title. In the seasons since, Nashville has been a force on the dirt under the leadership of two-time PBR World Champion Justin McBride and three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves, boasting a deep roster that includes rising stars Austin Richardson and Kaiden Loud riding alongside veteran Brazilians Alan de Souza and Anderson de Oliveira.
As a family-owned team with deep roots in the Western way of life, the Stampede work hard and play hard as a team. Their partnership with ThorSport Racing and Ben Rhodes at Nashville highlights how their cowboy ethos seamlessly aligns with the high-speed, adrenaline-fueled nature of NASCAR racing.
New this season, the Nashville Stampede will make The Ranch at NRS, their training home. The facility features a customized training room, rider housing, bucking chutes and a pen of practice bulls “This is not only a historic moment for the Stampede but it’s a really big deal for the sport of bull riding and the western industry,” said Stampede Head Coach and 2x PBR World Champion Justin McBride.
Tune into FOX Sports 1 (FS1) to catch all the racing action from Nashville Superspeedway on Friday, May 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Listen to the race on the Motor Racing Network Radio (MRN) or SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.
