Christian Eckes – NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Driver:
Christian Eckes pilots the No. 98 Toyota Tundra in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In 2020, Eckes recorded seven top-five and 11 top-10 finishes in his first full-time season in the series. He earned a career-best second-place finish three times last season – Texas Motor Speedway in July, Kansas Speedway on July 25, and Michigan International Speedway in August.
Since 2018, he has registered 35 Camping World Trucks starts with 10 top-five and 18 top-10 finishes in addition to four poles and 307 laps. In 22 of those starts, Eckes has been the leader during the race.
The 20-year-old began racing in 2010 in the Bandolero and Legend car divisions. After recording wins and championships, Eckes made the move to the Late Model series in 2014.
In 2016, he won the prestigious Snowball Derby Super Late Model race at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla. The then 15-year-old battled side-by-side with John Hunter Nemechek for the final two laps before narrowly edging him to the finish line. The Snowball Derby win was part of a three-race winning streak in Late Models to close out the 2016 season after the teenager was victorious in the Myrtle Beach 400 Late Model Stock event at Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Speedway and the Thanksgiving Classic All-Star Super Late Model race at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, North Carolina.
The New York-native also captured the ARCA Menards Series championship in 2019 after recording four wins, two poles, 400 laps led, 13 top-five, and 17 top-10 finishes, resulting in an average finish of 4.8 across 19 starts. In 46 ARCA starts, Eckes recorded 7 wins with 23 top-5’s and 35 top-10’s.
In his free time – Eckes enjoys spending time with family, gaming, iRacing with friends, and working on his house in Statesville, NC. He also currently attends College en-route to a Business degree.
