Christian Eckes – NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Driver:
Christian Eckes pilots the No. 98 Curb Records Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The 2021 season brought him his first series-career visit to Victory Lane on Sept. 24 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in his debut season with ThorSport Racing.
Since 2018, he has registered 45 Camping World Trucks starts with 12 top-five and 23 top-10 finishes in addition to four poles and 317 laps.
The 20-year-old began racing in 2010 in the Bandolero and Legend car divisions. After recording wins and championships, Eckes made the move to the Late Model series in 2014.
In 2016, he won the prestigious Snowball Derby Super Late Model race at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla. The then 15-year-old battled side-by-side with John Hunter Nemechek for the final two laps before narrowly edging him to the finish line. The Snowball Derby win was part of a three-race winning streak in Late Models to close out the 2016 season after the teenager was victorious in the Myrtle Beach 400 Late Model Stock event at Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Speedway and the Thanksgiving Classic All-Star Super Late Model race at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, North Carolina.
The New York-native also captured the ARCA Menards Series championship in 2019 after recording four wins, two poles, 400 laps led, 13 top-five, and 17 top-10 finishes, resulting in an average finish of 4.8 across 19 starts. In 46 ARCA starts, Eckes recorded 7 wins with 23 top-5’s and 35 top-10’s.
