Cameron Hayley Race Recap:

Cameron Hayley, driver of the No. 13 RIDE TV Toyota Tundra, made his fifth career start at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) in Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Striping Technology 350. Starting 17th, Hayley was able to work his way into the top-10 by lap 30, battling a “tight through the center, loose on exit,” Toyota Tundra. The ThorSport Racing driver maintained a position inside the top-10 throughout the 147-lap event, running as high as sixth. In the closing laps the Calgary, Alberta, Canada native made contact with the No. 4 truck of Christopher Bell, and settled for a 10th-place finish behind race winner, Johnny Sauter.

The top-10 result was Hayley’s fourth top-10 finish in five starts at the 1.5-mile track.

Cameron Hayley Quote:

What happened with the 4 truck on that last restart?
“We were really good at first, but got tight as the run went on. It took everything we had to hold on to it there at the end. I don’t know what happened on that last restart. We got three-wide, Christopher got loose and got into me, and we got a pretty bad tire rub. That had nothing to do with what happened on the last lap though. I apologized for that. I know he is in the Chase, but my spotter was calling ‘clear.’ That’s not the way I want to race someone in the Chase, so I need to go apologize to him.”
